
Bruins fall in final visit to Worcester

The Providence Bruins and Worcester IceCats wrapped up their 10-game season series, and all-time series, on Saturday night in Worcester, with the IceCats winning 5-2. The Bruins were 4-4-1-1 this season against Worcester, and 47-51-16 in the all-time series. The IceCats will relocate to Peoria, Illinois for the 2005-06 season. The Bruins are in fourth place in the Atlantic Division with their 40-29-3-7 (90 points) record.
Bruin center Keith Aucoin (21) posted a goal and an assist, while defenseman Chris Dyment tallied his third of the year. Aucoin, who also had an assist on Dyment's goal, skated on a line with his younger brother Phil, who signed with Providence earlier in the day. Phil, making his AHL debut, had assists on both Bruin goals.
Providence goaltender Chris Madden stopped 22 of the 26 shots he faced. Worcester also added an empty net goal late in the third period. Madden is 5-4-0 on the season.
The Bruins close out the regular season when they host the Portland Pirates on Sunday, April 17 at 4:05 p.m. Prior to the start of the game, the Bruins will hold their annual Team Awards Ceremony.
