
Solar Bears Fall in 5-1 Loss to Stingrays

Orlando Solar Bears News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears (4-4-1-0) fell 5-1 to the South Carolina Stingrays (4-4-1-0) on Thursday night at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.
Orlando took an early lead 6:27 in the first period after Brett Findlay redirected a Denver Manderson shot for a power-play goal past Parker Milner. South Carolina countered with their own goal scored by Scott Tanski at 16:28. Just before the end of the period, Steven McParland netted a shorthanded goal to pull the Stingrays head at 19:14.
Domenic Monardo extended the lead for the visitors at 18:06 of the second period.
South Carolina's Joe Devin added a power-play goal in the third period at 2:47. McParland added an empty-net goal at 17:18 to cap the scoring.
Ryan Massa took the loss with 23 stops on 27 shots against; Milner earned the win with 17 stops on 18 shots against in 26:10 of play; Adam Carlson recorded 15 stops on 15 shots against in 33:50 of action while he relieved Milner due to apparent equipment issues.
