TONIGHT:
The Orlando Solar Bears return home to the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center to begin a 10-game homestand that runs through early December. They will begin their stay on home ice with three straight games against the Stingrays after coming off a 3-0-1-0 road trip that included a 6-2 victory at South Carolina. The Stingrays are coming off a 3-2 overtime win over the Elmira Jackals on Sunday.
POWER PLAY CLICKING:
As of Nov. 9, the Solar Bears power play is tops in the ECHL, operating at an 11-for-46 (23.9%) clip. This is consistent with Orlando's chances on the man advantage against South Carolina, as Orlando has capitalized on three of 13 opportunities against the Stingrays while on the power play.
FINDLAY FINDING THE NET:
After scoring the game-tying goal against South Carolina on Oct. 27 in what eventually lead to Orlando's first win of the season, Brett Findlay followed up his performance with a three-point (1g-2a) effort in the 6-2 win for the Solar Bears against the Stingrays on Nov. 1. The forward has also maintained a +3 rating against South Carolina through two games.
MASSA SMOTHERING STINGRAYS:
So far this season, Ryan Massa has been lights out for the Solar Bears against South Carolina, starting both contests against the team, while logging an impressive 1.50 goals-against average and .940 save percentage against the Stingrays.
