NORFOLK, VA. - The Norfolk Admirals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, announced the signing of forward John Kurtz on Thursday.
Kurtz, 27, was a member of the Admirals during the team's American Hockey League era, playing in 204 games from 2012-15. Last season the forward from Oakville, Ontario split the season with the Utica Comets and Toronto Marlies of the AHL.
In a corresponding move, the team released forward Troy Power.
Additionally, the team traded forward Danick Gauthier to the Tulsa Oilers.
This time in Norfolk, Kurtz will wear #15 and is expected to be in the lineup this weekend when the Admirals host the Manchester Monarchs and Atlanta Gladiators.
