ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Thursday that forward Jordan Samuels-Thomas has been loaned to the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Samuels-Thomas, 26, moves up to San Diego having registered eight points (3g,5a) in nine appearances this season split between the Everblades (2 assists in five games) and the Utah Grizzlies (3 goals, 3 assists in four games). The Everblades acquired Samuels-Thomas in a trade with Utah on October 24.

Last year, the 6-3, 185-pound forward recorded 22 points (12g,10a) in 58 games played with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League. In addition, he also logged an assist in 13 playoff appearances with the Reign.

In 2014-15, Samuels-Thomas posted eight points in 65 games played with the Rochester Americans (AHL). He totaled 104 career points (50g, 54a) during his four-year collegiate career split between Bowling Green State University (2009-2011) and Quinnipiac University (2012-2014).

The West Hartford, Connecticut native was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round-of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
