
Solar Bears Deal Struthers to Growlers

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that the club has traded rookie defenseman Carter Struthers to the Newfoundland Growlers in exchange for future considerations.
Struthers, 25, previously agreed to terms with Orlando on Sept. 14. He appeared in two preseason contests with the Solar Bears, in which he logged two penalty minutes.
Additionally, the Solar Bears have placed forwards Trevor Olson and Tayler Thompson on reserve. Forwards Dylan Fitze, Corey Kalk and Ryan Lough, along with defenseman Tim Shoup have been placed on injured reserve.
Opening Night:
The Solar Bears open the 2018-19 season - presented by XYMOPrint - when they host the Atlanta Gladiators at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.
