Solar Bears Add Michael Catenacci

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that they have agreed to terms with F Michael Catenacci.

Catenacci (5-7, 165 lbs.) played 12 games for Sterzing/Vipiteno in Italy this season, scoring seven goals and adding eight assists for 15 points. He broke into the professional ranks last season when he skated in two contests for Dusseldorf EP in the DEL (Germany).

Before turning pro, the Woodbridge, ON, native played four full seasons (2008-12) with the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). His OHL career includes 172 points on 64 goals and 108 assists in 236 games. In his final season in 2011-12, Catenacci served as the Captain, led the team in assists with 44, was second on the team in points with 69, and finished third in goals with 25.
