
Snappers Drop Both Games in Doubleheader

The Swing struck first scoring two runs in the top of the first and one in the top of the second. The Snappers got one run back in the bottom of the second. Edward Ovalle hit a single to center and scored on a double by Henry Sanchez, making the score 3-1 in favor of the Swing. The Swing got another run in the top of the fifth. Eli Tintor led off the inning with a solo home run to centerfield. Steve Tolleson singled, followed by a Drew Thompson single. Paul Kelly singled to center driving in Tolleson, cutting the lead to 4-3. The Swing then came back with three runs in the top of the seventh and held the Snappers scoreless in the bottom of the seventh, making the final 7-3 in favor of Quad Cities.
The Swing struck first scoring one run in the first, one run in the third, and another in the fourth, making the score 3-0 after the fourth inning. After the fourth inning things became quiet for both teams as the Snappers were shutout 3-0 by the Swing.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers and Swing play the final game of a four game series Thursday, June 1 at Pohlman Field. The first pitch is set for 6:30 pm at Pohlman Field in Beloit.
