Snappers Add 2008 Sixth Round Pick Hermsen

Right handed pitcher B.J. Hermsen has been added to the Beloit Snappers roster. Hermsen is a 2008 sixth round pick out of West Delaware High School (IA).
In 2009 Hermsen played with the GCL Twins where he went 6-2 with an astounding ERA of 1.35. He started all 10 games that he pitched in and in the 53 1/3 innings pitch he struck out 42 batters and only gave up eight earned runs. Hermsen also threw one complete game shut-out for the GCL Twins. Also in '09 Hermsen was ranked as the 11th-best prospect in the GCL and was named a Rookie All-Star by Baseball America.
The Snappers and Cougars wrap up their three-game series tonight at Pohlman Field with first pitch scheduled for 6:30PM as Miguel Munoz takes the mound for the Snappers.
