Burlington Bees News Release

Cedar Rapids, IA (May 12, 2010) - The Burlington Bees and Cedar Rapids Kernels were rained out on Wednesday night in what was to be the final game of a three-game series at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The two teams will take part in a doubleheader on June 18.

The Bees return to Community Field for a seven-game homestand beginning with four games against the Peoria Chiefs starting Thursday. Enjoy specials on beer and Pepsi products on Thirsty Thursday thanks to the Mark Warth Agency, and pick up tickets for Community Basket Day on Sunday while they last.

The basket is currently valued at over $17,000, with new prizes being added by the day. Community Field is now the only place to get Community Basket raffle tickets. Fans need not be present on Sunday to win, but a $1,000 bonus will be awarded to the winner if he or she is in attendance.
