
Timber Rattlers Start Long Homestand on Thursday

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers begin their longest homestand of 2010 on Thursday, May 13. The Beloit Snappers visit Time Warner Cable Field for a four-day, five-game series from May 13-16. After a scheduled off day on Monday, May 17, the Peoria Chiefs, the Midwest League affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are in town May 18-20. The defending Western Division champion Burlington Bees will conclude the Wisconsin homestand with a four game series from May 21-24. Here is a look at the individual promotions for the four days of the Beloit series:
- THURSDAY, MAY 13 at 6:35pm; WIXX Thirsty Thursday & Wisconsin Department of
Transportation Drawstring Backpack Giveaway: 16oz. beers and 22 oz. sodas are available for $2. It is also College Night. Fans with a valid and current college ID may show it at the ticket window on the day of the game and receive a reserved seat or general admission ticket for $1. The first 1,000 fans into the stadium will receive a drawstring backpack courtesy of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. After the game fans may participate in Launch-A-Ball, a post-game promotion that allows fans to attempt to win great prizes from area businesses.
- FRIDAY, May 14 at 5:05pm; North Shore Bank Family Night: There are two seven-inning games
scheduled on Friday night to make up for a game between the Rattlers and Snappers on April 25 that was postponed by rain. The gates to the stadium open at 3:30pm and game one starts at 5:05pm. Children 12 and under eat free as part of North Shore Bank Family Night in conjunction with momslikeme.com. After the second game of the doubleheader, ThedaCare Orthopedics presents Kids Run the Bases for children 14 and under.
- SATURDAY, MAY 15 at 1:05pm; North Shore Bank Cap Giveaway & National Peace Officers
Memorial Day: The first 1,000 fans to enter the ballpark will receive a Wisconsin Timber Rattlers baseball cap courtesy of North Shore Bank. As part of National Peace Officers Memorial Day, area law enforcement agencies will have equipment displays in the Time Warner Cable Field parking lot and there will be informational displays inside the stadium. Additionally, the Neenah Police Department Quartet will sing the National Anthem as local police departments will present the colors. It is also Girl Scout Day. Local Girl Scout troops may receive discounted tickets through the Timber Rattlers group ticket department when they order in advance.
- SUNDAY, MAY 16 at 1:05pm; Brewers Sunday presented by 107.5 The Fan: Timber Rattlers
players will be wearing jerseys and caps based on those of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers. Fans may play catch on the field before the game and participate in a post-game autograph session with the players. Time Warner Cable subscribers may bring in their bill and receive up to four half priced reserve seat tickets. Plus, Sunday is Boy Scout Day. Area Boy Scout troops may receive discounted tickets through the Timber Rattlers group ticket department when they order in advance.
