
Smith Earns IFL Honors

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers quarterback Daniel Smith was named the Indoor Football League's Offensive Player of the Week in Week 14.
Smith (6'1", 205, Miles College) made waves in his home debut with the Iowa Barnstormers leading the team in an 80 point explosion over the Quad City Steamwheelers. In his impressive performance, Smith completed 26 of 39 passes for 292 yards and five touchdowns. He added 54 yards on the ground and one rushing touchdown.
The Indoor Football League awarded the Iowa Barnstormers very own kicker Gabriel Rui with Special Teams Player of the Week while Byron Edwards of the Sioux Falls Storm earned Defensive Player of the Week.
Smith and the Iowa Barnstormers will travel to Quad City in week 15 to once again face the Steamwheelers. The game is scheduled for a 7:05PM kickoff on Saturday, June 24 at Vibrant Arena in Moline, IL. Fans can tune in on YouTube.
