Slammers vs. Rascals Postponed

Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers game tonight against the River City Rascals has been postponed due to the threat of severe weather this afternoon and evening. The Slammers and Rascals will play a double header Thursday (two seven-inning games). Game one will be at the regularly scheduled time of 10:05 am for the Day Care / Day Camp game with game two following the completion of game one.
"Today we will err on the side of caution with our fans, players, and staff's safety in mind," Slammers General Manager Chris Franklin said. "We do what we can to play every game at its regularly scheduled time; however with the information we've been provided for this evening's forecast we feel it's best to get ahead of a possibly dangerous situation."
Fans with tickets for Wednesday's game can exchange their tickets at the Slammers box office for the same or lesser value to any other regular season Slammers home game in 2013.
