Beloit, Wisconsin - The Kane County Cougars (24-19) allowed four hits, including two home runs to Skyler Weber in a 15-7 loss to the Beloit Snappers (15-25) on Sunday at Pohlman Field. The loss ended the series with both teams winning two games apiece.

An RBI single by Geraldo Perdomo in the top of the second put the Cougars up 1-0, but for the second straight time on the mound, Cougar starter Ryan Weiss had difficulties with a big inning. With two outs and two on, John Jones hit a grounder to second base. Second baseman Geraldo Perdomo made a throwing error, allowing two more runs to score.

Weiss (1-4) was pulled with two outs in the second. He was charged with six runs, five of them earned, on nine hits with one walk an no strikeouts.

Tra Holmes and Alek Thomas both hit solo homers in the Cougars' third inning to slice into the deficit and make it 6-3. However, Beloit went on to score seven unanswered runs in the bottom of the third and fourth. Weber collected an RBI double off Ryan Miller in the third. He tagged Kai-Wei Lin for an RBI single in the fourth.

Zack Shannon and Eduardo Diaz belted home runs in the sixth inning and Diaz roped an RBI single to left in the 8th to make the score 13-7 Beloit. Skyler Weber got his final licks in in the eighth with a solo homer to extend Beloit's advantage to 14-7.
