Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the South Bend Cubs (affiliate of the Chicago Cubs) in the last game of a four-game series. This is also the wrap-up to a seven-game road trip for Dayton. The Dragons are 1-2 in the series and 2-4 on the road trip.
Streaks: The Dragons snapped a three-game losing streak last night. They have lost seven of their last nine after winning four of the previous six.
Last Game: Saturday: Dayton 4, South Bend 1. Shard Munroe hit a three-run home run and Brian Rey added a solo shot while four Dayton pitchers combined to allow just five hits and strikeout 14. The Cubs did not advance a runner past second base after the first inning. Munroe's home run broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth. Dayton finished with eight hits. Rey and Mariel Bautista each had two. The Dragons held an opponent to less than two runs for the first time since they shutout Fort Wayne on April 15. The Dayton bullpen trio of Carlos Machorro, Adrian Rodriguez, and Connor Bennett combined for 4.2 shutout innings.
