
Skyforce Escape Wolves on Opening Night

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves (0-1) fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (1-0) 128-122 Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena.
Lindell Wigginton produced a game-high 23 points in his NBA G League debut. The former Iowa State guard shot 6-of-13 from the field, grabbed six rebounds and dished out a team-high seven assists on Cyclone Night.
Iowa stayed within striking distance throughout much of the game but held the lead only once during the contest, in the first quarter.
Minnesota Timberwolves assignee Keita Bates-Diop added 22 points and seven rebounds to his final line while shooting 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Fellow assignee and rookie Naz Reid contributed 19 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, marking his first NBA G League double-double.
As a team the Wolves allowed the Skyforce to shoot 51.7% from the field in the loss.
Point guard Jeremiah Martin finished with a game-high 30 points for Sioux Falls. Three Skyforce players finished with at least 24 points including Martin, Mychal Mulder (26) and Davon Reed (24).
Iowa turns to the road for a one-game swing against the Memphis Hustle on Monday, Nov. 11 at 7:00 p.m. CT.
