DES MOINES, Iowa, February 26, 2009 - The Iowa Energy dropped their second straight home game to the Sioux Falls Skyforce 117 to 109 Thursday night at Wells Fargo Arena. The Energy's record now moves to 19-12.
The Energy struggled throughout the game as the Skyforce led for the entire match-up. Othyus Jeffers (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Courtney Sims (14 points, 13 rebounds) both contributed to double-doubles for the Energy as Demetris Nichols added an additional 26 points. Curtis Stinson (19 points) and Patrick Sanders (18 points) also finished in double digits.
Strong performances from Frank Williams and Chris Ellis gave the Skyforce an edge over the Energy. Williams contributed 39 points and dished out 3 assists with Ellis scoring 16 points and grabbing 21 rebounds. Williams also went 10-17 from behind the arc.
The Energy will once again battle at home Saturday afternoon as they take on the Dakota Wizards at noon.
