Skyforce Acquires Jarvis Threatt and Connor Burchfield

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired guards Jarvis Threatt and Connor Burchfield from the available player pool. Threatt and Burchfield will both be active and available for tomorrow night's game against the Salt Lake City Stars.

Threatt, a 6-2, 170-pound guard out of Delaware last played in the NBA G League during the 2016-17 season as a member of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. In total, Threatt has appeared in 119 NBA G League games (19 starts), all with the Vipers, and has averaged 11.4 points, 3.2 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game. Threatt participated in the NBA G League Slam Dunk competition in both 2015 and 2016, winning Slam Dunk Champion honors in 2015. He was also awarded NBA G League Player of the week honors on March 16, 2015.

Threatt has also appeared in 11 NBA G League Playoff games, including a run to the NBA G League Finals in 2017 before Rio Grande Valley ultimately lost to the Raptors 905. Threatt has averaged 11.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in G League playoff appearances.

Threatt spent last season overseas in Romania, playing for CS Phoenix Galati, appearing in 18 games (eight starts) and averaging 11.8 points, 5.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Burchfield, a 6-4, 175-pound rookie out of William & Mary was selected 26th overall by the Austin Spurs in the 2018 NBA G League Draft. Burchfield averaged 2.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in just 9.2 minutes of action across nine appearances for the Spurs before the team placed him on waivers on December 15, 2018.

Prior to his professional career, Burchfield played four collegiate seasons for the Tribe, appearing in 111 games (33 starts) while averaging 6.9 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest. Burchfield's college career was highlighted by a breakout senior season that saw him average 12.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game while shooting 52.0 percent from three-point range.

Threatt and Burchfield will fill open roster spots left by Emanuel Terry, who signed a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns on January 27, 2019, and Jarnell Stokes, who has left the team to pursue other opportunities.
