
Skyforce Acquire Jarnell Stokes

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that they have acquired forward Jarnell Stokes. He is scheduled to join the team following this weekend's road trip, and will be in uniform against the Grand Rapids Drive on March 4.
Stokes, a 6-9, 255-pound power forward had previously appeared in 16 games this season for the Skyforce while on assignment from the Miami HEAT. During that span, he has averaged 20.6 points per contest along with a team-leading 10.2 rebounds per game. He has also shot 67.3 percent from the field in 30.9 minutes per game. Most recently, Stokes represented the Skyforce in the 2015-16 NBA Development League All Star Game in which he recorded 17 points and three rebounds in 18 minutes of play.
Stokes had appeared in 21 career NBA games (two starts) and averaged 2.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 6.2 minutes per game while shooting 56.8 percent from the field. Stokes also appeared in 23 games (14 starts) for the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League in the 2014-15 season averaging 15.1 points and 11.3 rebounds in 32 minutes per game.
