Skate with the Comets on New Year

The Utica Comets, American Hockey League affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, are gearing up for their New Year's Day game against the Lake Erie Monsters on Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 3 p.m, with special promotions to ring in the new year.

All fans in attendance are invited to skate with the Comets players and Audie after the game. In addition to the post-game skate, fans can ring in 2014 with a special $14 ticket.

Need to Know:

-The $14 ticket special must be purchased in person at The AUD's Box Office starting Monday Dec. 30.

-Bring your skates to the game for your opportunity to skate with the Comets following the game.

-There will be no skate rentals available.

-After the game, fans that want to skate with the players are asked to head over to the Comets Pro Shop.

-From there, fans will have their hand stamped and led to the stage end of the ice.

-Helmets and gloves are not required, but are highly encouraged.

-No other hockey equipment (ex. Sticks, and pucks) are allowed.
