SIOUX FALLS- The Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants announced Sunday the release of pitcher Andrew Pluta.
Pluta has played his entire professional career with Sioux Falls. He owns a career record of 8-4 with a 4.27 ERA. During the 2011 season, Pluta made three appearances, going 0-1 with a 14.71 ERA in 3 2/3 innings pitched.
There had been 23 players on the Sioux Falls roster. The American Association mandates a 22-man roster beginning Sunday.
The Sioux Falls Pheasants host the Lincoln Saltdogs at 2:05 p.m. today at Sioux Falls Stadium.
