Sinkewich, Shea back with the Walleye

(Toledo, OH) - Defenseman Booby Shea has been assigned to Toledo from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. Defenseman Russ Sinkewich has returned to Toledo from the Texas Stars of the AHL. Goaltender Brooks Ostergard has agreed to terms with the Walleye.

Sinkewich returns to Toledo after appearing in seven games with Texas in which he scored a goal with two assists. The native of Westlake, Ohio posted 10 assists and 25 penalty minutes in 20 games with Toledo earlier this year.

Shea started the season with the Walleye appearing in the first three games with one assist and a plus two. The former Bowling Green Falcon defenseman has appeared in 22 games this year in Rockford collecting a goal and three assists.

Ostergard was in training camp with Toledo prior to the start of the season and has appeared in games this year for Idaho, South Carolina and Wheeling. The Cleveland, Ohio native went 0-2-0 in three appearances with the Nailers with a 4.80 goals against average and a .855 save percentage.

The Toledo Walleye return home Friday, January 24 against Wheeling. The first 2,000 fans through the gates receive a Walleye scarf presented by BCSN.
