ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Idaho's Conboy suspended

Idaho's Andrew Conboy has been suspended one additional game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #397, Utah at Idaho, on Jan. 17.

Conboy was assessed a match penalty for fighting under Rule #46.15 at 20:00 of the third period. He is suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Conboy missed Idaho's games at Utah on Jan. 18 and Jan. 20 and will miss Idaho's game vs. Bakersfield on Jan. 26.

Stockton's MacLeod fined, suspended

Stockton's Alex MacLeod has been suspended for three games and fined an unsdisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #410, San Francisco at Stockton, on Jan. 19.

MacLeod was assessed a match penalty for illegal check to the head under Rule #48.5 at 13:48 of the first period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

MacLeod will miss Stockton's games at Ontario (Jan. 24), vs. Ontario (Jan. 26) and at San Francisco (Jan. 30).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Reading's Flemming fined, suspended

Reading's Brett Flemming has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #413, Elmira at Reading, on Jan. 20.

Flemming was assessed a match penalty for illegal check to the head under Rule #48.5 at 17:37 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Flemming will miss Reading's games at Kalamazoo (Jan. 24), at Toledo (Jan. 25), at Kalamazoo (Jan. 26) and at Cincinnati (Jan. 29).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Utah's O'Brien fined, suspended

Utah's Andrew O'Brien has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #414, Idaho at Utah, on Jan. 21.

O'Brien was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing under Rule #45.5 at 8:41 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

O'Brien was recalled to Norfolk of the American Hockey League on Tuesday, and will serve his suspension upon his return to the ECHL.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
