Nagle Recalled by AHL's Stars

Boise, ID (1/23/14) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Thursday afternoon that goaltender Pat Nagle has been recalled to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.

Texas (AHL) and Idaho (ECHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL's Dallas Stars.

The 26-year-old Nagle ranks in the ECHL's top ten in saves (722; 3rd), minutes played (1,336; 7th), save percentage (.920; T-10th) and wins (11, T-10th). He has started ten of Idaho's past 11 games while Josh Robinson, the other goaltender to open the season with Idaho, has been in Texas. Now, Robinson and Nagle are on the active roster in Texas. Both are under AHL contract with the Stars.

The transaction leaves one active goaltender, rookie Josh Watson, on Idaho's roster. The 23-year-old Pennsylvania native has appeared in three games at the ECHL level, including one start for Idaho, with a 1-1 record and .896 save percentage.
