Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that goaltender Rob Madore has been reassigned to the club by the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. In a separate transaction, the Cyclones have acquired defenseman Pat O'Keefe from the Utah Grizzlies - completing one of their two future consideration deals.

Madore returns to the Cyclones after a one-week trip to the AHL. The second-year pro has spent the majority of his time this season with Cincinnati, where he is currently 10-4-0 through 14 games, posting a 3.03 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. This season, the Pittsburgh native played in one game with both Binghamton (AHL) and Charlotte (AHL), allowing only two goals in each start. Through five games with the Rampage, Madore had gone 1-2-1 with a .906 save percentage and a 3.23 goals-against average.

O'Keefe will continue his rookie season with the Cyclones after logging 31 games with Utah, during which time he amassed 14 points (1g, 13a) and 17 penalty minutes. His point totals were second among team defensemen. Prior to going pro, the five-foot-ten, 175-pound rear guard was a four-year letter winner at St. Mary's University, where he posted 42 points (11g, 31a) in 92 collegiate games. He helped lead SMU to the University Cup Championship in 2009-10 and was college teammates with Cyclones defenseman David MacDonald.

The Cyclones will return to U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday, January 25 when they welcome in the Wheeling Nailers at 7:30pm! The game will feature the first-ever postgame Fireworks Extravaganza presented by CBTS. Call 513.421.PUCK or visit CyclonesHockey.com to secure your seats.
