LETHBRIDGE, Albe. - Julius Miettinen potted a pair of goals while Dominik Rymon recorded a three-point night as the Everett Silvertips bested the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-1 at the Enmax Centre Wednesday night.

Miettinen, the reigning WHL Rookie of the Week, opened the scoring for Everett 13:22 into the first period as a Teague Patton takeaway found him between the hashmarks for his fourth of the season. Though Leo Braillard knotted the score 18 seconds into the second period, Everett reclaimed the lead shortly thereafter as a Kyan Grouette stretch pass sprung Dominik Rymon for a breakaway goal, his ninth tally of the year. Rymon found Patton at 6:00 in the second period for a 3-1 lead after two.

Everett limited Lethbridge to two shots on goal in the middle frame.

Miettinen tacked on insurance with a powerplay goal 12:00 into the third period, tucking a shot between-the-legs in front of the net home for his second of the night and fifth of the year. Carter Bear added a 5-on-3 redirection goal for a 5-1 final.

Tyler Palmer saved 19 of 20 for his fifth win of the season. The Silvertips are now 8-5-1 on the season.

Everett now turns their attention to the Calgary Hitmen, as the Central Division road trip continues Friday night at 6 p.m. PT.
