
Silver Medalist To Sign Autographs Saturday, Hawks To Honor IceHogs Tonight

Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs will be honoring Rockford native and Silver Medalist with the U.S. Women's Hockey team, Jinelle Zaugg-Siergiej, when the team takes on the Chicago Wolves on Saturday at the Rockford MetroCentre.
Zaugg-Siergiej will drop the first puck at 7:05 p.m. and sign autographs from 6-7 p.m. and during the first intermission in the new concourse area.
A forward on Team USA's women's hockey team during the 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver, she began skating as a young child on a frozen lake behind her Caledonia home. She moved with her family from Rockford to Eagle River, Wis. when she was six years old. After high school, she played for the University of Wisconsin for four years (2004-08).
"I just wanted to come down and thank my family for the support they gave my Olympic journey," Zaugg-Siergiej said. "This is significant to me to show my gratitude to my family and friends and the Rockford community."

The game marks the IceHogs' 11th annual Jersey Auction Night, where the IceHogs will honor the Phantom Regiment by wearing specially designed Drum & Bugle Hammy jerseys.
The first 2,500 fans will pick up a Drum & Bugle Hammy t-shirt courtesy of Pepsi, Dental Dimensions, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Phantom Regiment, WXRX and WREX.
A silent auction featuring American Hockey League and other hockey memorabilia will be set up in the upper concourse.

Next Home Game: Friday, March 26 vs. Peoria Rivermen. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs and Rivermen meet for the final time in 2009-10, the teams' tenth overall meeting. The first 2,500 fans to the MetroCentre will receive an IceHogs Zamboni courtesy of ESPN Radio 1380 and FOX 39.
BLACKHAWKS TO HONOR ICEHOGS DURING TUESDAY'S GAME
Chicago, Ill." The Chicago Blackhawks will honor the Rockford IceHogs, the team's American Hockey League affiliate, with a second intermission ceremony on Tuesday at the United Center during the club's game against the Phoenix Coyotes.
The Blackhawks will introduce the entire Rockford team including General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard as well as Head Coach Bill Peters and his staff. The 2009-10 season marks the third year of Chicago's AHL affiliation with Rockford.
Chicago's current roster features nine former IceHogs (Dave Bolland, Nick Boynton, Troy Brouwer, Dustin Byfuglien, Colin Fraser, Jordan Hendry, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Antti Niemi and Kris Versteeg), while Assistant Coach Mike Haviland served as Rockford's bench boss during the 2007-08 season. Current IceHogs Bryan Bickell, Corey Crawford, Jake Dowell and Jack Skille have all seen action with Chicago this season.
The IceHogs rank third in the AHL's West Division and fourth overall in the Western Conference with 86 points (40-27-3-3). Rockford has reached the Calder Cup Playoffs in each of its first two seasons and has compiled a.584 regular-season winning percentage (124-85-7-15), posting at least 40 wins in each campaign.
