Greg Moore scored the Crunch's only goal in the losing effort.
Worcester did not wait long to put up the game's first goal, as Desjardins beat Crunch starter Dan Taylor just 56 seconds into the game to take an early 1-0 lead.
Worcester controlled most of the action for the rest of the first stanza, outshooting the Crunch by an 11-6 margin in the game's first 20 minutes.

The score remained tied through the first two periods, as Worcester held a decisive 24-13 shots advantage through the first 40 minutes.
