
Sidekicks Lose Heartbreaker in California

Dallas Sidekicks News Release
Turlock, California - The Dallas Sidekicks lost on the road against the Turlock Cal Express 6-4. The Sidekicks next game will be at home on February 23rd, 2020 at 3.00PM CT against the San Diego Sockers at the Allen Event Center in Allen, TX for a nue vodka Sunday Funday match.
The Sidekicks started out strong in Turlock in the first quarter and Sidekicks player Frederico Moojen scored the first goal for the Sidekicks and brought Dallas into the lead 1-0. Then Sidekicks player Victor Almendariz put one past Turlock's goalkeeper to bring Dallas up 2-0 halfway through the quarter. Sidekicks rookie goalkeeper Carlos Enriquez made some clutch saves to keep Dallas up 2-0 at the end of the quarter.
The second quarter started with both sides coming out strong. The Sidekicks were given a blue card for too many men on the field and Turlock went on the power play. Turlock's Adrian Gutierrez scored with twenty seconds left in the quarter to cut the Sidekicks lead 2-1.
The Sidekicks came out kicking in the third quarter with Luiz Felipe scoring a goal within the first few seconds of the game to increase the Sidekicks' lead 3-1. Turlock was called for dangerous player which resulted in a blue card and sent the Sidekicks on the power play. The Sidekicks were unable to convert on the power play. Turlock's Luis Brambila scored and brought Turlock to within one of Dallas at 3-2. The quarter ended with the Sidekicks up 3-2.
Within a few minutes of the fourth quarter Turlock tied to score 3-3 when Adrian Gutierrez put one past Enriquez and then Turlock's Selvin Bonilla followed the lead and snuck one past the keeper and brought the Express up 4-3. The Sidekicks would not be down for long, Felipe De Sousa tied the game with a quick tap into the net to tie the game once again, 4-4. A few minutes later, however, the Express took the lead when Anibal Echeverria tapped one in and brought the score 5-4 with ten minutes left in the game. With less than five minutes left in the game, the Sidekicks put in the sixth attacker, but Turlock popped one into the empty net and brought their lead up 6-4.
