Utica City FC News Release
Rochester, N.Y. - Nate Bourdeau and Cristhian Segura each netted hat tricks as Utica City cruised to an 8-2 victory over the Rochester Lancers Friday night at the ROC Dome Arena. Moises Gonzalez and Bo Jelovac also scored for Utica. Andrew Coughlin made 14 saves on 16 shots in the win.
Jelovac got City on the board 3:08 into the game, tapping in a back-post feed from Cristhian Segura. Gonzalez doubled the lead for Utica halfway through the first quarter, poking home a shot from the right side.
Segura added to Utica's lead 2:32 into the second quarter, taking a distribution from Coughlin, banking a pass to himself off the glass and finishing with a right-footed shot.
Anthony Rozzano snuck a shot past Coughlin to get Rochester on the board 42 seconds into the third quarter. Segura responded 30 seconds later, deposited a rebound to the top corner. Bourdeau took advantage of a bouncing ball in the box and popped a shot over the keeper to put Utica up 5-1 with 8:06 to go in the third quarter. Bourdeau scored again a minute and a half later, rifling a shot to the upper corner from the top of the box.
Rafa Godoi cut into Utica's lead on a fast break 3:24 into the fourth quarter. Segura struck back with 3:17 to play in the fourth quarter to put Utica up 7-2. Bourdeau potted the hat trick goal with 33 seconds to play when he put back a rebound from an attempted chip shot by Segura. Utica locked things down from there to secure the victory.
