Sockers Acquire Midfielder Gerardo Jurado from Turlock Cal Express

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Sockers have acquired midfielder Gerardo Jurado from the Turlock Cal Express before the Major Arena Soccer League trade deadline on Thursday. This transaction completes the preseason trade of Manuel Rojo to the Express. Per league rules, terms of the deal will not be released.
Jurado, a first-year player, has posted nine goals and one assist in 12 games this season for the Express. He previously played outdoors in the Mexican Second Division with Xoloitzcuintles and for the Tigres Under-20 team.
The Sockers (12-5) make the final leg of their February road marathon when they head to the great state of Texas to take on the Mesquite Outlaws (5-12) on Friday night and Dallas Sidekicks (2-15) on Sunday afternoon.
