PREVIEW: The Shorebirds dazzled again with another spectacular pitching performance in 7-0 win on Saturday evening. Mitch Horacek, Dylan Rheault and Jon Keller combined to post the sixth shutout victory of the season for Delmarva. Trey Mancini added another 3 RBIs, and Conor Bierfeldt hit a two-run home run off the left field foul pole.
TODAY'S OPPONENT: Mark Leiter will start the series finale for Lakewood on Sunday afternoon. Leiter has an even 4-4 record with a 4.68 ERA in 11 starts for the BlueClaws. In his only start against Delmarva, Leiter allowed four runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings. Lakewood won that game 6-5 at Perdue Stadium. The Philadelphia Phillies drafted Leiter in the 22nd round of the 2013 MLB Draft out of NJIT.
19TH SEASON: The 2014 season marks the 19th season of Shorebirds baseball on the Eastern Shore and 18th straight year as a Baltimore Orioles affiliate. The Shorebirds' first season was 1996 as a Montreal Expos farm team.
ORIOLES WATCH: The Baltimore Orioles got back to .500 with a 4-1 win over the Houston Astros. Chris Tillman was solid once again, improving to 5-2 with a victory. Nelson Cruz homered, his 20th long ball of the season. Meanwhile, Zach Britton continues to serve as the team's new closer, collecting his 4th save.
THE IRON IS HOT: 19 out of the 25 players on the Shorebirds active roster appeared for the Ab- erdeen IronBirds in 2013. The IronBirds put together an impressive season, making the playoffs for the first time in their 12-year franchise history. Aberdeen won the McNamara Division in the New York-Penn League with a 40-32 record. The IronBirds lost in the first round of the NYPL play- offs, losing 2 games to 0 against the Tri-City Valley Cats.

On Tuesday night, Vader collected his sixth straight victory, all coming his last six starts. Vader retired the first 13 batters he faced before a double in the 5th inning. The right-hander improved to 7-1 on the year, tying the South Atlantic League lead for wins with Brady Lail and Nick Pivetta. Vader also low- ered his ERA to 3.09.
WHO'S HOT - JIMMY YACABONIS
Through his first 17 appearances, the Del- marva closer has yet to allow a run. Yacabo- nis is perfect 13-for-13 in save opportunities with a 1-0 record. In 20.0 innings, Yacabonis has struck out 26 batters.
WHO ELSE - TREY MANCINI
Mancini finally unleashed his first home run of the year with a deep blast in Lakewood. The first baseman has collected 10 RBIs in the first three games of the Lakewood series to take the team lead in RBIs with 33.
