PREVIEW: The Shorebirds play game two of the series against the Crawdads and game number 100 of the 2012 season. Last night, Andrew Faulkner limited the 'Birds to just one run over seven full innings to lead the Crawdads to an 8-1 win. The Shorebirds are 6-4 in their last ten games and 5.5 games out of first place.
DOUBLES IN THREE STRAIGHT: Mikey Planeta has doubled in three straight games played. He also has four RBIs in the last two games after going the first 14 games of the month without an RBI.
4TH MULTI-HIT GAME FOR OHLMAN: In just 14 games with the Shorebirds, Michael Ohlman recorded his fourth multi-hit game last night. He has walked (11 times) more than he has struck out (9) times.
A WINNING MONTH: The Shorebirds are 11-10 in the month of July after going 8-21 in May and 8-17 in June. Their only above .500 month this season was April (13-11).

SAWYER'S INCREDIBLE 2ND HALF: In 23 games in the second half, Wynston Sawyer is batting .333 (28-for-84) with two home runs and 17 RBIs. Sawyer has seven RBIs (3 multi-RBI games) in his last five played.
3 STRAIGHT SERIES: The last time the Shorebirds won three straight series was between April 19 and May 3 of 2011 when they beat Augusta, Savannah and Charleston.
