Suns Roll Past BlueClaws, 6-2

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (61-40/19-13) defeated the Lakewood BlueClaws (43-58/17-15), 6-2 at Municipal Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

The Suns Justin Miller went 3-for-4, with a home run and two RBI's. Bryce Ortega went 3-for-5 with three RBI's. Cutter Dykstra also contributed for the Suns with a solo home run, his fifth of the year.

The Suns pitching on Tuesday was stellar. Starter Christian Meza (6-1) earned the win pitching five shutout innings giving up just one hit while walking two and collecting six strikeouts. Suns relievers combined for four innings, allowing just two runs to finish out the game.

BlueClaws' starting pitcher Ethan Stewart (4-9) suffered the loss. He lasted just 2.2 innings, giving up four runs on three hits, two of those hits being home runs. Blake Mascarello came in relief of Stewart and pitched 3.1 innings giving up just three hits.

The Suns and BlueClaws will play game three of the series on Wednesday night at 7:05 pm. when LHP Bobby Hansen, Jr. (2-1, 4.10) makes the start for Hagerstown against Lakewood's RHP Colin Kleven (4-7, 4.75).
