Shorebirds Announce Roster Transaction for Thursday, April 14

SALISBURY, MD - The Delmarva Shorebirds, in conjunction with the Baltimore Orioles, have announced the following roster moves:

#40 RHP Francisco Jimenez transferred from Aberdeen (SS) to Delmarva (A)

#15 INF Jack Graham transferred from Delmarva (A) to Aberdeen (SS)

The Shorebirds hand the ball to Francisco Jimenez in the home opener tonight. Jimenez was signed as an international free agent by the Baltimore Orioles in 2011 and made his debut in the Dominican Summer League in 2012. Jimenez has slowly increased his innings load and has put together a nice professional resume thus far. In his career, he sports a 14-12 record with a 2.50 ERA and has a career WHIP of 1.16. Jimenez's best outing last year came in his penultimate start when he picked up his first career win as a Shorebird. He fired seven shutout innings against eventual league-champion Hickory, scattering just two hits and allowing no walks. Jimenez was transferred from Aberdeen to Delmarva in mid-August last summer and made four starts for the Shorebirds.

The first pitch of today's game is scheduled for 10:05 am. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports AM 960 and online at foxsports960.com.
