Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee Admirals forward Timofei Shishkanov has been added to the PlanetUSA All-Star Roster for the 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic. Shishkanov will join fellow Admiral Andrew Hutchinson on the PlanetUSA roster and line up against teammates Curtis Murphy and Scottie Upshall who were earlier named to the Canadian All-Star Team.

Shishkanov, a native of Moscow, Russia, has played 43 games with the Admirals this season while playing two games with the Nashville Predators, Milwaukee's parent club. Playing in his first season with the Admirals, the 6-1, 213-pound Shishkanov has notched 31 points (15g-16a) while accumulating a +15 rating. This year, while with the Admirals, he has amassed five multi-point games, including a three-point performance on February 1 against the Toronto Roadrunners. He is currently second on the team in both points (31) and goals (15).

Shishkanov was Nashville's second choice, 33rd overall, in the 2001 NHL entry draft. Last season he played with the Quebec Remparts (QMJHL), who drafted him in the first round of the 2002 CHL import draft. During his stay with Quebec he accumulated 82 points in 51 games.

The PlanetUSA Team, comprising players born in the United States and Europe, includes 21 skaters and three goaltenders. AHL fans determined the starting lineup via on-line balloting at theahl.com, while a committee of AHL coaches selected the remainder of the roster.

The 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic gets underway this coming Sunday, February 8, with the AHL All-Star Skills Competition at 7:00 p.m. ET. The annual All-Star Game follows at 7:00 p.m. ET on Monday, February 9.
