Shelby Pendley to Throw Out First Pitch Tonight

WHO: Shelby Pendley is a Rio Rancho native and 2013 Big 12 Player of the Year for the NCAA National Champion Oklahoma Sooners softball team. The rising junior was named 2013 NFCA Second-Team All-American, 2013 first-team All-Region, 2013 All-Big 12 First Team, three-time Big 12 Player of the Week (2013: 4/30, 4/16, 3/12) and 2012 all-Pac-12 first team at Arizona. In 2013, the infielder hit .357 (61-for-171) with 22 home runs and 73 RBI over 61 games. Before her college career, she attended Rio Rancho High School, lettering all four years, and was a 2010 Pan-American (18-under) Gold Medalist.

WHAT: Pendley will be throwing out a softball for her ceremonial first pitch.

WHEN: Prior to tonight's 6:35 p.m. Albuquerque Isotopes game against the Salt Lake Bees.
