
Five-Game Homestand Begins Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium on Friday, August 16, for their 10th homestand of the season. The Sounds will host the Round Rock Express (Texas Rangers affiliate) for a five-game series.
The homestand will be highlighted by two fireworks shows, Elvis Night, one back-to-school giveaway night, the final Autograph Day of the season, and Deaf & Hard of Hearing Community Night presented by Beltone.
Friday, August 16 vs. Round Rock @ 7:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 6:05 p.m.)
The homestand will open with fans shaking their hips at Elvis Night. The evening will feature a pregame music concert by an Elvis tribute artist beginning at 6:15. The Sounds will honor and celebrate the King of Rock 'n' Roll by selling Elvis' favorite snack, the peanut butter and banana sandwich, at the concession stands.
The first 500 guests will receive a collectable paper fan courtesy of Sun Entertainment.
Any fan named Elvis, Priscilla or Lisa will be able to get into the game free with a valid ID. Fans are encouraged to wear 50's or 60's-style dress to be eligible to win prizes throughout the game.
The night will conclude with a Friday Fireworks Extravaganza set to Elvis's greatest hits.
Saturday, August 17 vs. Round Rock @ 6:35 p.m. (Gates Open at 5:35 p.m.)
The first 2,000 fans through the gates at Greer Stadium Saturday night will receive special drawstring backpacks presented by Burger King. The black bags feature the Sounds logo and are perfect for the back-to-school season. The game will be followed by a special fireworks show courtesy of Nashville's NEWS 2.
The Sounds will be partnering up with Beltone on Saturday to provide a special evening for the hearing-impaired as a part of the team's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community Night. An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will be provided for the National Anthem, 7th Inning Stretch, and select public address announcements, courtesy of Bridges, Middle Tennessee's premier non-profit resource for interpreting, education, and youth services for deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing communities. One lucky fan in need will win a pair of Promise 17 hearing aids, valued at $8,600.
Following the festivities, more than 600 Girl Scouts from the greater Nashville area will take to Greer Stadium's outfield to meet Sounds players before setting up camp and staying overnight for the team's annual Girl Scout Night. In the morning, scouts will be treated to breakfast, supplied by Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and Purity Dairies.
Sunday, August 18 vs. Round Rock @ 6:35 p.m. (Gates Open at 5:35 p.m.)
Sunday marks the Sounds final Autograph Day of the season. The autograph session with members of the Sounds team and coaching staff will take place on field beginning at 5:50 p.m.
Sunday's game is another Piedmont Natural Gas Military Sunday presented by Tennessee 811. The Sounds will wear camouflage jerseys, while servicemen/women, veterans, and their families receive $5 off reserved or general admission tickets with a valid Military ID; limit 5 discounted tickets per ID.
Also taking place on Sunday will be the Sounds Faith and Family Sundays, where fans can receive $5 off tickets by presenting a church or community bulletin at the Sounds Advance Financial Box Office; limit eight discounted tickets per bulletin.
Monday, August 19 vs. Round Rock @ 7:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 6:05 p.m.)
Monday is Dollar Dog Night, which allows fans to enjoy hot dogs for just $1 apiece.
Tuesday, August 20 vs. Round Rock @ 7:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 6:05 p.m.)
The homestand concludes with a Coke Zero Two-For-One Tuesday, where fans attending are encouraged to help Coca-Cola and the Nashville Sounds keep Tennessee beautiful through recycling. Fans can bring an empty Coke Zero bottle or can to the gates to receive special two-for-one ticket pricing.
Also, the Sounds will celebrate Nashville's music scene with Sounds Music Industry Night. The final of nine dates this season is presented by Big Machine and offers Sounds fans in the music industry special game tickets, pregame drink deals, and a pregame concert by Sweet Aliana. Following the homestand, the Sounds will head west to play a five-game series with the Albuquerque Isotopes (Dodgers affiliate) from August 21-25 before picking up a four-game set with the Oklahoma City RedHawks (Astros affiliate) from August 26-29. The team returns to Nashville on Friday, August 30, for the team's final series of the 2013 campaign.
