SF Bulls Lose to Eagles, 6-2

LOVELAND, Colo. - The San Francisco Bulls (2-3-1-0) were defeated, 6-2, by the Colorado Eagles (4-2-0-0), Friday night at the Budweiser Events Center. Dale Mitchell and Mark Lee each extended their four-game point streaks. Kyle Ostrow recorded a hat trick for Colorado.

Ray Sawada gave the Eagles the lead 3:55 in to the game. Ostrow added a power-play strike at the 6:54 mark for a 2-0 Eagles lead. Tyler Beskorowany stopped Kevin Ulanski's short-handed penalty shot attempt with 1:38 left in the first period to maintain the two-goal deficit.

Ostrow netted his second goal of the night, 4:25 into the middle period, and Trent Daavettila added a late-period tally to make it 4-0 with 1:54 left in the second. The Bulls recorded nine second-period shots to cut into a 27-11 Colorado shot advantage.

Mitchell put the Bulls on the board, 4:43 into the third, beating Eagles netminder Marc Cheverie after a pass from Mark Lee. Alex Hudson scored and Ostrow picked up the hat-trick to make it 5-1 lead before Lee added a power-play goal with 5:42 left in regulation for the 6-2 final score. The Bulls and Eagles had seven shots apiece in the third for a 34-18 Colorado edge after 60 minutes.

Tomorrow, the Bulls wrap up the finale of the three-game series against Colorado. The puck drops at 6:05 p.m. PT from the Budweiser Events Center.
