BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators will announce the winner of the first ever jersey design contest to benefit the Special Olympics during a pre-game ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Bob Carr, owner of the Binghamton Senators, and John Crosby, area coordinator of Broome/Tioga Special Olympics, will announce the winning design.

More than 150 students from ten secondary schools in the Broome/Tioga area participated in the contest. Each student that completed a design will have their artwork displayed on the concourse level of the Arena during Wednesday night's game against Albany.

The winning design will be used to produce an authentic set of jerseys, which will be worn by the Senators in an official American Hockey League game against Worcester on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Arena. The club will present the winner of the contest with an authentic Senators jersey on ice prior to this game.

Immediately following the game, the Senators will hold a live auction and auction off all game worn jerseys. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Broome / Tioga Special Olympics.
