Four players return to Amerks

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that four players have been re-assigned to the Amerks. Forward Drew Stafford, defenseman Mike Card and goalie Adam Dennis were sent back from the Buffalo Sabres, while forward Drew Larman has been returned from the Florida Panthers.

The Buffalo Sabres recalled Stafford and Dennis on Friday, November 10th and Mike Card on Saturday, November 11th. Stafford was called on to fill in for injured Maxim Afinogenov. The native of Faribault, Minn., who picked up his first NHL assist on November 4th, netted his first NHL goal on Saturday in Buffalo's 5-4 overtime win over Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center. This season, Stafford has played in four NHL games and has one goal and one assist.

Card made his NHL debut with the Sabres on Saturday and saw 11 minutes of ice time. He played in two games with Buffalo this past week. He was recalled by Buffalo to fill in for injured defenseman Toni Lydman. Dennis served as the backup to Martin Biron for three games.

Larman received his first recall to the NHL after Rochester's 7-3 win over the Chicago Wolves Sunday night. Larman netted his fifth goal of the season in the Amerks' home win. He made his NHL debut last night against the Washington Capitals and played 10:48.
