Senators Walked off at Portland... Again

The Senators lost 6-5 to Portland Sunday afternoon for the third straight game in walk off fashion. Harrisburg tied the game with two runs in the ninth only to see the Sea Dogs win the game in the tenth. Chris Sale started for Portland and the Sens touched him for two runs on six hits in 3.2 innings of work in his rehab start.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Jackson Tetreault made his first start this season for the Senators and pitched into the sixth inning. Jackson allowed three earned runs on seven hits. He struck out four and walked one.

Carson Teel pitched one full inning in relief following Tetreault walking one and striking out one. He stranded the runner he inherited in the sixth inning.

Reid Schaller came on with one out in the seventh inning and struck out two around a single.

Malvin Pena pitched two scoreless innings. He struck out three after a single in the eighth and then allowed a one out single in the ninth but induced an inning ending double play.

Jhon Romero pitched the tenth inning facing just one batter and allowing the game winning single.

WITH THE GAVEL

Rhett Wiseman had three hits including a two-run double in the ninth inning to tie the game. He drove in three runs in the game.

Cole Freeman had two hits including a double off Sea Dogs starter Chris Sale. He scored a run and drove in a run.

Osvaldo Duarte had three hits, two doubles and a home run, scored three times and drove in one.

The Senators and Altoona Curve play game one of their six-game series Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Peoples Natural Gas Field in Altoona. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:10 p.m.
