Belleville Senators News Release

The Belleville Senators have signed forward Boston Leier to an amateur tryout agreement for the rest of the 2017-18 season.

Leier, 24, just completed his fourth year at Acadia University where he put up 15 goals and 39 points in 27 games, good for fourth most in the AUS and most on the Axemen. He was named to the AUS Second All-Star team and had a goal at the University Cup where the Axemen were beaten in the quarterfinals.

During his time in Wolfville, Leier played at a better than a point-per-game pace collecting 114 points (54 goals) in 111 games.

Before his USports career, Leier, a native of Saskatoon, spent four years in the WHL with the Medicine Hat Tigers and Regina Pats, scoring 68 goals and 167 points in 259 games.

Leier's brother is Taylor, who currently plays for the Philadelphia Flyers.

Leier will be available for the Senators on Friday against the Toronto Marlies at the Yardmen Arena.
