Chicago Wolves News Release
GLENVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Wolves have been the American Hockey League's winningest team over the last three-plus months -- amassing a .744 points percentage since Dec. 6 -- and they have rocketed from seventh to second place in the AHL's Central Division.
With head coach Rocky Thompson's Wolves in position to clinch the franchise's 19th postseason berth in 24 seasons, individual tickets for the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs go on sale to the public at 11 a.m. Friday. The postseason schedule will not be released until the final weekend of the regular season, which concludes when the Wolves host the Manitoba Moose for First Responders Night on Sunday, April 15, at Allstate Arena.
To purchase a playoff package -- which provides the same seat for all 15 potential Calder Cup home games -- or a playoff flex pack, call 1-800-THE-WOLVES. Individual tickets for all playoff games also can be purchased by visiting ChicagoWolves.com/Playoffs or Ticketmaster.com, calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000, or visiting the Allstate Arena box office or any other Ticketmaster outlet.
With 12 regular-season games to go, the Wolves (35-20-7-2) have pulled within five points of the first-place Manitoba Moose in the Central Division. The top four finishers in each of the AHL's four divisions qualify for the Calder Cup playoffs. The No. 1 and No. 4 seeds meet for a best-of-five series in the first round, as do the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds. All subsequent playoff series are best-of-seven.
The Wolves have seven regular-season home games remaining -- a slate that features Family Sunday (March 25), #WeAreAllWolves Diversity and Inclusion Night (March 31), Wolves Trading Cards giveaway, courtesy of Vienna Beef (April 7) and Salute to Military Families Night (April 14).
