
Senators Return Home with a Win

Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Senators began their six-game homestand with a 5-2 win over the Hartford Yard Goats Tuesday night. Trailing 1-0 in the second, Rhett Wiseman hit a two-run home run to give the Sens the lead and they'd never look back. They scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh innings then withstood an eighth inning rally by Hartford for the win. Kevin McGowan earned the win in his first start for the Sens and Aaron Barrett picked up his 24th save.
On Capitol Hill
Kevin McGowan started and pitched the first five innings for the Sens allowing a run in the first inning but then putting up four zeros. He retired the side in order in the second and fifth innings.
Jacob Condra-Bogan pitched two scoreless innings and earned his third hold this season.
Aaron Fletcher pitched the seventh, struck out two, but left with the bases loaded and two outs. Bryan Bonnell came on and struck out the only batter he faced to strand all three runners.
Aaron Barrett tossed a perfect ninth for the save.
With the Gavel
Rhett Wiseman homered and drove in three runs. He's homered in consecutive games.
Ian Sagdal had three hits, drove in a run and scored a run.
Tres Barrera had two hits.
Harrisburg had 11 hits and went 3-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
Filibusters
- The win was the Sens third straight and they've won 13 out of their last 19 games.
- David Masters made his Double-A debut and had a hit.
- With Kevin McGowan starting and Masters appearing in the game, the Senators have used 54 players this season.
On Deck
The Senators play the Hartford Yard Goats in game two of a three-game series Wednesday afternoon at FNB Field at noon. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 11:50 a.m.
