Bridgeport Islanders News Release

Binghamton Senators' goaltender Jeff Glass kicked away all 34 shots he faced to lead the Senators to a 1-0 win over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers before 6,161 fans at the Arena at Harbor Yard on Friday night. The Senators ended a three-game losing streak and improved to 5-12-0-2 and the Sound Tigers dropped to 8-6-0-3.

Glass out-dueled Bridgeport goaltender Billy Thompson who also had a stellar performance and stopped 31 shots. Glass earned his first win of the year and Thompson had his two-game winning streak snapped.

Josh Hennessy scored the game's lone goal with a shorthanded, unassisted tally, his eighth of the year, just 5:08 into the game. The Sound Tigers and Senators went a combined 0-for-11 on the power play. The Sound Tigers' league-best penalty kill prevented Binghamton from scoring on all four of its chances.

Binghamton got its first win in three times against the Sound Tigers; the road team has won all three games in the season series.

The Sound Tigers visit Hartford Saturday night and return to the Arena at Harbor Yard to take on Albany Sunday at 4 p.m. For schedule and ticket information, including group discount opportunities, visit soundtigers.com or call 334-4625.
