Chicago Wolves News Release

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled center JASON KROG, the American Hockey League's leading scorer, from the Chicago Wolves.

The 31-year-old forward, who last saw action in the National Hockey League in 2004, paces the AHL with 24 assists and 39 points and ranks third with 15 goals. He has registered a point in each of the team's 18 games this season, tied with teammate DARREN HAYDAR for the longest point streak in the league this year and the best start to a season in franchise history.

The Fernie, British Columbia, native recorded three assists and five points to help the Wolves to a 6-3 win against Omaha on Wednesday, the third time this season he has notched four or more points in a game. He also matched a franchise record by posting a +5 plus/minus rating in the tilt.

KROG has tallied a helper in 12 of his last 13 games, which includes a 10-game assist streak from Oct. 20 to Nov. 14, one shy of matching a team record.

KROG has earned 52 points (18G, 34A) in 175 career NHL games with the New York Islanders and Anaheim Ducks from 2000 to 2004. He posted three goals and four points in 21 postseason contests in 2003 to help Anaheim reach the Stanley Cup Finals.
