Goaltender Bacashihua Assigned from the St. Louis Blues

Peoria, IL (November 24, 2006) - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that goaltender Jason Bacashihua has been assigned to the Peoria Rivermen, the Blues' American Hockey League.

Bacashihua, 24, appeared in two games with the Blues during his current stint, posting a 0-1 record. In his first start of the season on Nov. 17 at Vancouver, he turned away 40 of 44 shots.

The Garden City, Michigan native has skated in seven games for Peoria this season, posting a 1-5-1 record along with a 3.90 goals against average and a .859 save percentage.

The Rivermen host the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights on Friday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Carver Arena. It's Salvation Army Coats for Kids Night. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently-used coat to donate and will receive a free voucher to an upcoming Rivermen game. The 25 Greatest Rivermen of All-Time, presented U.S. Cellular, Card Set giveaway continues with Tony Curtale; the first 2,500 fans receive a card. Peoria travels to Omaha the following night to complete the back end of a home-and-home set between the clubs. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Omaha Civic Auditorium.
