Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators scored three times in the first inning on their way to an 8-0 win over the Akron RubberDucks Wednesday night at FNB Field. Harrisburg had 15 hits in the game and won for the tenth time in their last 14 games. Robert Hassell III and James Wood both homered in the game. The Senators held Akron hitless until two outs in the seventh inning when Juan Brito singled to right field breaking up the Senators no-hit bid.
The Big Play
Robert Hassell, III homered with one out in the first inning to give the Senators a 1-0 lead. The Sens went on to score three in the first inning.
On Capitol Hill
Michael Cuevas started and went four hitless innings, walking just one and striking out one. He faced the minimum 12 number of batters... Lucas Knowles earned the win, tossing three innings and allowing just a hit... Patrick Ruotolo and Odalvi Javier combined to toss the final two scoreless innings.
With the Gavel
Hassell went 3 x 5 with a home run, double, and three RBIs... Jacob Young, Trey Lipscomb, James Wood, Brady House, Frankie Tostado, and Brady Lindsly all had two hits... Tostado also drove in two runs.
