Senators and the Erie SeaWolves split a pair on Thursday night in Harrisburg. The Sens rallied from 6-0 in the sixth inning to win game two. Game one went extra innings with Erie scoring four times in the eighth inning to put the game away. Erie won game one 9-6 in eight innings while the Sens won game two 7-6.
Matt Whitney drove in the game winning, scoring Michael Martinez from first base with a game winning double. In the doubleheader the Sens pounded out 20 hits, 11 in game one and 9 in game two. The six run sixth inning was the biggest inning of the year and they sent eleven batters to the plate.
Marvin Lowrance had three hits in the opener while Joel Guzman chipped in with two. Lowrance, Guzman and Bill Rhinehart all homered in the first game.
In game two, Leonard Davis, Bill Rhinehart, and Matt Whitney all had two hits in game two.
The Sens open a three-game series in Akron on Friday night at 7:05pm.
